WOODALL TRAINING CLINIC PHILOSOPHY
As a small town girl from rural Wisconsin, I was very fortunate to have had a few great coaches who taught me not only how to swim well, but gave me great reasons to keep swimming—they kept it interesting and challenging at the same time. Hard work fueled by constant encouragement, motivation, and reinforcement of the positive goes a long way in athletics and in life. My motto in swimming, coaching, and now teaching is: When you swim fast, you have fun. When you have fun, you swim fast! My goal in clinic instruction is to teach the athletes new techniques while maintaining an open teaching atmosphere. I encourage the coaching staffs and athletes to ask questions and participate in the group discussions. I’ve competed with and coached some of the best athletes in the country and the world, and I enjoy sharing my experiences and knowledge with anyone willing to work hard and learn!

For the older athletes, the same progressions are adapted to include functional explanations of body position in relation to core integration.
